Character Constructions Collages
Sometimes you plan and work and dream but think the dream could never come true. Well a dream come true is around the corner for me on April 1 and it's no April Fool's joke!) The spring issue of The Stamper's Sampler is part of that dream come true. Another dream come true is to be a member of the Character Constructions design team. I have admired the work of Catherine Moore for more than 20 years and appreciate the artist and her kindness as much as I appreciate her work. Recently she created a space for my art on her Web site, and I wanted to share the first "collage" with you. Please visit her site for the full slideshow, which just might give you ideas for making your own dolls from her wonderful stamps. I never in a million years believed my art dreams would come true. Keep dreaming and planning and working and maybe yours will come true too. I hope they do!

You deserve to have your dreams come true because you create the most exquisite art. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am at the prospect of reading your Guest Artist feature in the forthcoming issue of Sampler (I need to be patient as the magazines are taking extra long in arriving these days).
It's wonderful to read that Catherine is displaying your art at the CC website.
You are such an inspirational stamp artist.

So true your words about dreaming and how we should never stop. Like yourself, I've had dream after dream come true, some of which I deemed as so impossible to ever come true, in other words, pipe dreams but whether it has been via Stampington or DTs such as those I just never imagined it possible I would be part of (let's just say that two of those are the same as the two you are part of)those dreams materialised and it is the most uplifting feeling possible. Each year I write my creative hopes and dreams, those which I truly desire for the following 12 months.
Laura, Here's to dreams continuing to come true!

Oh thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement, Lynne. It is almost like living in a fantasy world to see our dreams materialize on paper and into the magazines for others to enjoy. I had only hoped to be lucky enough to have one card printed and never ever imagined I would be on design teams. And you are so right that it is the most uplifting feeling! I love that you write your creative hopes and dreams for the upcoming year. Such a great practice. I certainly see that yours are coming true! Here's to you my friend, and this wonderful creative journey we are on!
Warmly,
Laura
